Meeting with Matiere Premiere Founders at Galilu Olfactory

On April 20th, I had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in a meeting with Aurelien Guichard and Caius Von Knorring, the founders of the Matiere Premiere brand. The event took place in the charming interior of Galilu Olfactory at Mokotowska 26 in Warsaw. For perfume enthusiasts, it was a unique and inspiring experience.

Matiere Premiere is an exceptional perfume brand that stole my heart back in 2020 when I had the chance to discover all the fragrances created by Aurelien Guichard. Among them were gems such as the incense-vanilla-coffee Encens Suave, the luminous Neroli Oranger, the chic Parisian Musc, and the extraordinary Radical Rose - a reflection of the complexity and uniqueness of the scent of the hundred-petaled rose. It is worth noting that these roses are sourced from Matiere Premiere's own plantation. Additional scents that have joined the collection include the leathery Falcon Leather, the tuberose French Flower (Matiere Premiere also has its own tuberose plantation!), and the latest bestseller, Crystal Saffron. Interestingly, its popularity does not surprise me at all.

Aurelien Guichard and Caius Von Knorring openly answered all questions from those attending the meeting and could also be approached for personal conversations. Their passion and dedication to their work were palpable. In a private conversation, Aurelien Guichard confided to me that owning his own hundred-petaled rose plantation is the fulfillment of his greatest dream.

During the meeting, it was also mentioned that later this year, a new Matiere Premiere premiere built around vanilla should appear. Another interesting fact is that the brand has started cultivating its own lavender. We can be sure that a scent built around this ingredient will find its place in a bottle with the Matiere Premiere logo.

During the meeting, attendees could also see a new addition to the brand's offering: fragrant hair mists. Now, one can apply their favorite Matiere Premiere scent to their hair without any concerns.

As always, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. It was a perfect opportunity to further appreciate the creators' talent and understand their unconventional approach to the art of perfume-making. Aurelien Guichard and Caius Von Knorring are individuals who combine passion, knowledge, and skills, making their brand stand out in the market.
