I miss the spring. I miss the longer daylight hours, I miss that unforgettable smell of nature coming to life, flowers, a new energy.
I am looking forward to spring, but it will be a while yet. With Neroli Oranger, another fragrance from Matiere Premiere that has been on my must-have list since I saw the collection, the wait is easier. Orange blossom is one of my favorite floral notes and there are many perfumes with orange blossom in the story, I own a few myself. I do not know if Neroli Oranger is the best, but it's definitely my favorite scent with that ingredient. If that ever changes, I will let you know.
What is its secret? After all, it is quite a minimalist composition. This secret lies in the high quality and craftsmanship of the combination of ingredients. As we are already used to from Aurelien Guichard, he uses only high quality raw materials for his perfumes. In the case of Neroli Oranger, the most important of them is the pure Absolute Orange Blossom from Tunisia, surrounded by neroli, bergamot, ylang-ylang and musk. It is not a dense orange blossom. I love the purity of this composition, the lightness (which does not mean that it is not long-lasting, on the contrary!), a certain transparency and the delicate sweetness and creaminess that comes from ylang-ylang. A great fragrance for spring, summer ... but also for winter, if you miss the warm days like me.
