Dominant note
To the moon and back. Moonlight Patchouli by Van Cleef & Arpels released in 2016. The nose behind this scent is Sonia Constant who created much more great fragances for famous brands like Tom Ford, Narciso Rodriguez or Valentino.
Moonlight Patchouli is a dry combination of patchouli and rose. And this is all about the opening. Patchouli and rose are dominant notes, but served very artfully. The Patchouli is clean, the rose is dark. I don't smell any sweetness here. In the background you can also find leather.
Not for everyone, because it isn't typical mass pleasing fragrance. Unisex, but smell a bit different on a man and different on a woman. The black color of the bottle, the notes and name suggest that's a night time scent and I agree but works also very well in the heat and that's a little surprising.
