Lily Jasmine Coconut Champaca Orange Blossom Black Currant Apple
Oligarch Eau de Parfum was one of my top discoveries in 2021 (see my guide). A powerful, very masculine fragrance and as always with Roja Parfums, full of sophistication and quality. Today it's time to introduce the latest hot 2022 release from Roja Parfums - Oligarch Parfum. Now in the first line in a higher concentration, with a black luxurious cap, which is the trademark of Roja.
It is a very rich composition, which contains many perfectly combined ingredients. You can call it a chypre, but it is certainly a modern-style chypre, because there is no vintage tone here. It opens with a burst of vibrant fruit with tangy and aromatic citrus (lemon, lime and bergamot) at the top and hints of green apple and blackcurrant. Oligarch is very fresh, but also dignified, because in addition to the citrus and woody and green accords in the base (cedarwood, patchouli, oakmoss), floral accords (sweet orange blossom, lily and champaca), the fragrance also has aromatic aspects thanks to the use of lavender and thyme. All this spiced with a pinch of pink pepper, but it does not stand out and harmonises with the other notes.
Everything sounds a little sour (gin and tonic atmosphere thanks to the juniper berries) and exotic, but above all very elegant and refined. The perfect perfume for a man who knows what he wants and knows how to achieve it. An exquisite quality in a perfect bottle. Roja Oligarch is more than a perfume, it's a statement.
