When you look at the notes, see cognac, benzoin or tobacco there, imagine not a street bar full of smoke, but a secret, hidden club, a leather sofa, a pipe filled with tobacco, a fireplace and a glass of this unusual drink. Just as cognac is a refined alcohol, so are these perfumes. In the top note, the nose is enveloped by a dynamic and extremely realistic cognac aroma. It hits your nostrils like a glass of cognac. Simply delicious! This is one of the two alcoholic notes in perfumery that can be obtained naturally. The other is rum. The balsamic sweetness of the vanilla combined with benzoin, the smoky facets of the tobacco and the booziness of the cognac create a stunning, tingling blend that evokes a warming bubble around you that can be dangerously addictive.
It's a complex, rich, sophisticated yet modern fragrance that naturally includes spices (cardamom, black pepper), fresh elements that further enliven the scent and, importantly for me (bergamot, ginger), floral elements (heliotrope, geranium, jasmine, rose de mai) in the heart notes and woodiness in the base (sandalwood, patchouli). What I like about this fragrance is the taming of the masculine tobacco note, which is not out of place, present but not imposing, giving way to the cognac. As always with Roja Parfums, the quality is evident and the raw materials speak for themselves.
One of my favorite and best fragrances I have encountered so far. Enigma Parfum Pour Homme is an amazing fragrance with a wonderful opening, a magnetic depth and a strength that makes me feel special when wearing this perfume. There are very few perfumes that give me such a lift. This perfume is everything.
The difference between Parfum Pour Homme and Parfum Cologne? The scent is almost identical, but there are some nuances.
- Parfum Pour Homme seems a little darker, deeper, and a little more sophisticated.
- Parfum Cologne is a bit fresher and perhaps easier to wear (it's a pure pleasure to wear both).
- I am really happy with the performance of both (sillage and longevity), but Parfum Pour Homme lasts longer (the concentration is higher)
- The size of the bottles is different (50ml - Parfum Pour Homme / 100ml - Parfum Cologne).
