Burlington Acrade. It was built in 1818/19 at the request of Lord George Cavendish, later Earl of Burlington, for his wife so that she could shop safely away from the busy, dirty, crime-ridden open streets of London amid other distinguished ladies and gentlemen. It is a place steeped in history, where for over 200 years Londoners have visited various boutiques selling exclusive goods such as shoes, hats, jewellery and ... Perfumes. To celebrate the 5th anniversary of their luxury flagship boutique Roja Parfums in Burlington Arcade, Roja Dove has specially created a fragrance called Burlington 1819.
I have never had the opportunity to be in London (only at the airport on my way to Scotland), but if I have the chance, I will definitely visit the Burlington Arcade. Before that happens, however, I'll try to virtually transport myself there, thanks to the perfume created by Roja Dove, who loved spending time there as a child and certainly tried to perfectly recreate the atmosphere of this unique place on the London map.
The fragrance opens with a nice touch of bittersweet citrus (especially grapefruit and lime) with an admixture of mint, a hint of ginger and saffron. Juicy grapefruit, lime, bitter orange are extremely realistic, but the whole composition creates a very pleasant and crisp, but full of class and dignity (you can call it the DNA of the brand Roja), which in the base of the fragrance is a combination of oakmoss, an energegic hit of rum, fresh ambrée chord, woody notes (casmir wood), also patchouli with elements of tobacco.
Burlington is a luminous, aromatic cocktail that stimulates the senses like the spring that now breaks through the arcades of the jewel in Mayfair with the rays of the sun. I have no doubt that 1819 is a reliable scent for the whole season.
