Oriental with Middle Eastern character yet very universal and admired in every corner of the world. Like a bridge between past, present and future, perfumes with amber facets are very successful among people from different cultural backgrounds.
Soft citrus opening of lemon, bergamot and lime reveals the beauty of the heart of this fragrance, where syrupy sweet fig (which is not too overpowering) dips into nectar-rich Rose de Mai carefully blended with Jasmin de Grasse and ylang ylang. I admire the perfectly balanced, soothing sweetness that makes Amber Aoud sufficiently sweet. It's not a typical dry amber scent, nor is it a typical rose and aoud combination with a hint of saffron. It's different. Majestic ambergris is spiced with hints of warm cinnamon and spicy saffron that blend well with birch tar and benzoin, which along with oud, patchouli, oakmoss and sandalwood add deep woody-leathery undertones that entice...and entice...I am not afraid to mention that this is a really sexy scent for me, ambery, floral, rich, slightly powdery, gently rounded in the finish and I find that there are some rough, animalic elements of wildness here that excite my senses in a ... special way.
A timeless masterpiece.
