Nicolai is one of the first niche houses I discovered and added to my collection. I currently own two incredible citrusy fresh creations released by this brand. The first of which is L'Eau Mixte. I associate this brand with classic compositions, but of very high quality and great naturalness in perception.
Currently in Poland we have the warmest days of the year. The temperature is very high and everyone is looking for a respite in the shade. In such weather I like to reach for L'Eau Mixte, which gives me relief and refreshment. It is an extremely refreshing dose of a tangy and bright citrus bouquet of grapefruit, bergamot and Sicilian lemon, spiced with nutmeg and juniper. But that's not all, as the green accord in the form of fresh mint, which underlines the cooling aspect of this composition, and sour blackcurrant leaves also set the tone here. The fragrance is complemented by a delicate floral accord in the form of rose and jasmine, which are more expressive on women's skin, while the perfume is more woody on men. Rose and jasmine are added to make this fragrance more elegant and sophisticated. The base contains a classic combination of vetiver, oakmoss and musk, thanks to which the fragrance has a delicate chypre atmosphere.
The sillage is discreet, but the longevity for a citrus scent described as Eau Fraiche is amazing. L'Eau Mixte may not seem astonishingly original, but it is a perfume with high quality syntax made in an exquisite way, which is why I heartily recommend it.
