Another refreshing stunner released by this noble perfume brand from France. Eau de Yuzu is one of my favourite summer fragrances as it is extremely fresh, bright and incredibly natural. It's all about striking accord of Yuzu, a small (but expensive) yellow lemon (a cross between Satsuma - a wild mandarin orange and Ichang Papeda) that is very popular in Asia, especially Japan, China, Korea, Tibet. Its fragrance is multi-faceted as it delivers fresh and bitter facets at the same time, it is also slightly green, slightly floral and very unique. To me it's like a combination of lemon peel, grapefruit and tangerine. Yuzu is surrounded by juniper which adds a bit of aromatic feel.
Solid longevity is achieved through the use of some long-lasting base notes like guaiac wood, patchouli, and vetiver, but they do not stand out and doesn't change the scent profile, it's still citrusy fresh but then also more woody. Yuzu is present from start to finish, and that's something I personally look for in citrus scents that makes them worthwhile in my eyes.
