Fragrance description

How much joy can fit into such a small 30 ml bottle of liquid happiness? Gozo is a Maltese island located at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, where the two cultures meet. Beautiful flowers, Mediterranean Sea, spectacular coastlines, a tranquil haven. Maybe that's why Jeroboam Gozo is not too complicated, but somehow magical and the magic starts with a first spray.

It's a floral scent with an oriental twist. Sweet, powerful yet subtle tuberose spiced with saffron and mixed with bergamot is like an invitation to take a trip around this peaceful island. Now we know why Jeroboam this time changed the color of the bottle from black to orange. Orange is a much better fit here. Gozo is sweet, but the sweetness is well balanced and you need to know that I am a bit sensitive to too sweet fragrances. The floral notes in the heart (geranium, violet leaf) are meant to enhance and surround the scent and add a powdery touch, but the delightful tuberose remains a star flower in this composition, fading with time but staying until the end. The scent gets more woody in the drydown when patchouli mixed with cedarwood, ambroxan and white musk come into play. What I really like about Gozo is that despite its powdery nature, it doesn't lose its distinct character.

I've worn it a few times lately and found that it has great longevity (on clothes it stays forever) with moderate projection like a dreamy "floriental" bubble surrounding my body. Love it.
