Fragrance description

His life was a desert, her words were an oasis. Have you ever seen the horizon where dusk arrives?

For me, number 14 by FO'AH is the most oriental fragrance from the Mémoire d'une Palmeraie collection. It is oriental but in the lines of modern French perfumery. It is the darkest and probably the strongest. Like all FO'AH fragrances, 14 was built around a sigature palm tree accord (to my nose, it's a bit like the smell of broken aloe vera - remember my review of 02? Check) with a hint of Siberian pine, which together add some freshness and uniqueness here, but it all goes more into the oriental side thanks to the use of the combination of rose and oud. It's a mysterious blend of rose (a bit shy, but seductive) and oud (not offensive either), spiced with saffron. The subtle presence of jasmine enhances the floral overtone of this composition and the musk in the base note is meant to complete the fragrance, making it more rounded and long-lasting. None of the ingredients stand out, everything is in harmony like sand dunes in the desert.
