Today something for coffee lovers. In my humble opinion, Terra Mia is one of the best coffee-themed fragrances on the market. Raw Arabica coffee oil was used here to create this outstanding perfume, but be aware it's not like a smell of freshly ground coffee, because this ingredient is served here in a more sophisticated way. Like the face of Pulcinella character presented on the bottle that laughs and cries at the same time behind his mask, this perfume is full of contrast, because is sweet and bitter, dark and sunny at the same time. It's sweet (in a good way), warm (vanilla and amber), spicy (pink pepper), sharp and slightly boozy (orange blossom liqueur followed by neroli).
The rose is very recognizable here but it's more like little dose of rose jam. An intricate coffee facets with a hint of hazelnuts evident throughout the whole time reminds the smell of an empty coffee cup. Lovely, powerful and comforting scent for cold weather wear, described as unisex, maybe leaning towards feminine but..who cares? I enjoy wearing Terra Mia recently, because it makes me feel much better when the aura outside is so depressing. True masterpiece by talented perfumer Luca Maffei.
