Information

Osmanthus is a genus of shrubs and small trees in the olive family. It includes about 36 species, mainly from China and North America. The fragrant osmanthus flowers are usually white, but sometimes take on other colors. Osmanthus flowers are also used as an additive to tea, wine, sweets and honey.

It is not often used in perfumery, and Osmanthus Absolute takes several months to extract.

What does osmanthus smell like?

Its floral scent can be somewhat reminiscent of jasmine, for example, thanks to delicate animalic accents. The smell is strong, creamy, exotic, slightly fruity (reminiscent of dried apricots), with leather accents, slightly honeyed and gives a feeling of softness.
