Immortelle

Information

Immortelle is a plant known as helichrysum or Italian helichrysum. It is a small perennial plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. Originally it comes from the Mediterranean region, Central Asia and China.

Helichrysum is used in medicine (it has a beneficial effect on the liver and pancreas) and in cosmetics, it is excellent for skin care. Its small yellow flowers never wither and always look the same, hence its name Immortelle.

Certainly not a popular fragrance. Immortelle essential oil is obtained by steam distillation, while the absolute is obtained by solvent extraction.

What does immortelle smell like?

Immortelle has a very complex and multi-layered scent. It can be associated with sunny vacations in southern Europe. Its fragrance is rich, sweet, slightly spicy, floral, spicy, slightly clove, slightly honey floral, slightly powdery like mimosa.
