Information

Frangipani / Plumeria also known as Lei flower, is an exotic flower of deciduous shrubs and trees native to Central America and Asia. These trees can reach a height of up to 8 meters. It is found where there is a tropical climate and it is hot. The flowers with a yellow center and 5 petals, ranging from white to pink, are very beautiful. The most popular varieties are Plumeria rubra with pink flowers and Plumeria alba with white and yellow flowers. Depending on the variety, the fragrance may vary slightly, but in general they are very intensely fragrant flowers that are strongest at night (they are pollinated by moths).

The fragrance of frangipani is obtained in a laboratory with synthetic ingredients, since it is not possible to obtain it from the flowers by distillation.

What does frangipani smell like?

The fragrance is very refined, rich, floral, slightly fruity (including pineapple, coconut), exotic with citrus nuances.
