Information
Fir is a tall evergreen tree (one that never loses its leaves) that grows in cold countries and has leaves that are like needles, typically arranged in two rows. Fir has slightly citrusy scent slightly similat tp pine, cedar, juniper, and bayberry. It’s a little astringent, green, and cool to the nose, with a sortof “bright” quality along the lines of lemon or begamote. Balsam fir has a more syrupy/sweet-ish scent than silver fir.
