Civet is an animalistic perfume note, made of the byproduct of the anal glands of exotic squat civets. Currently, for the welfare of these animals, civet of synthetic origin is used in perfumery.
What does a civet smell like? Its scent in its pure form is very intense, fecal, while when mixed with alcohol, the scent becomes much more pleasant, floral, powdery, deep and sensual.
