Amber is a fragrance accord describing a mixture of resins (benzoin, labdanum, styrax) in combination with vanilla, fir or other natural or synthetic ingredients.
The whole results in a deep, rich, oriental, warm, slightly sweet, slightly spicy and slightly powdery aroma. The whole thing can actually be somewhat reminiscent of the smell of real amber, but amber is not amber.
