In 2019, entrepreneurs and creative directors Anu Igoni and Jaakko Veijola established Nakuna Helsinki in Finland. The fragrances from Nakuna Helsinki are the outcome of an exceptional partnership with renowned perfumers Yann Vasnier, Nadège Legarlantezec, Fernandez Jorge, and Olivier Pescheux from Givaudan.

The name "Nakuna" is derived from the Finnish word for "naked," adding to the brand's minimalist ethos.
